The first sixteen crypts of The Dungeon Ate My Homework are printed, and we need people to play them.
This is an early version. The drawings are stand-ins, the numbers will change, and some rules are probably wrong in ways we can’t see anymore. That’s what you’re here to find.
What you’ll do
- Play all sixteen crypts of tier 1 with a pencil (no eraser, really), a d20 and three paperclips.
- Play crypts 1–8 in one layout and 9–16 in the other, so we can tell which one works better.
- Time each crypt, keep a short log, and answer a page of questions when you’re done.
Each crypt should take five to ten minutes. If it takes longer, that’s worth knowing too.
Two ways to play
- In person. If we can hand you a packet, you get an envelope with both books, the bookmarks, a pencil, a d20 and everything else you need. When you’re done, give the whole envelope back. The pages you drew on tell us things you won’t think to write down.
- Print at home. Anyone else gets the PDFs to print and cut. When you’re done, send photos or scans of your log, your answers and every page you wrote on.
The details
This first round has about ten spots, and we’d like results back within three weeks of getting your packet. Every playtester gets their name in the printed book and a free copy of it.
